Siksika Nation encompasses approximately 180,000 acres
of land located in the semi-arid region of Southern Alberta Canada. Its western boundary is 55km east of the city of Calgary, which houses an international airport. The Nation is bounded on the north by the Canadian Pacific Railway and traversed in an east-west direction by the Bow River. The TransCanada Highway parallels the north boundry connecting Calgary and Medicine Hat and eastern destinations. Siksika Nation consists of 5,500 people, of which two-thirds reside on the Nation’s lands.
