SRDL
Siksika Vacation Resort Company Ltd. holds the Head Lease
agreement for the Siksika Vacation Resort. The Head Lease agreement is between SVRCL and Canada. The Headlease
agreement is for a 39 year period expiring 2013. The agreement authorized the development and management of a 9 hole golf course, clubhouse, and recreational facilities.
In 1991, SEDCo and HVGRA negotiated a comanagement
agreement. The agreement allows the HVGRA full management
control of Siksika Vacation Resort.
Currently SRDL and the HVGRA are negotiating for a head lease
amendment to extend the lease for another 39 years. SRDL is
coordinating the land designation process for the resort head
lease amendment. The approval for the terms and conditions will
require a referendum through Indian Act regulations.
